If you think that networking is all about winning business from the start, then don’t join the Sport Business Network – in fact quit networking and start cold calling!

 

You may get lucky and pick up a contract within days of joining the network but it is unlikely. Good networking is all about the long game. That is why we insist that members come with us on the “journey” for at least 12 months. Good networkers realise that they are looking to make long term relationships with people that they can regularly do business with. Like normal life there aren’t many whirl wind romances that last, so we create environments where business relationships that go on for a long time.

 

What is also vitally important in networking, perhaps the first rule, is that you must give first. Don't expect to stand up and pitch the business idea in 60 seconds and expect the orders to flood in. It doesn’t work like that, not if you want to make strong and profitable connections. We will help you to identify the things about your business that are instantly attractive to other members. We will help you to package free offers, discounts, vital insights and shared knowledge so that the members get a chance to see exactly what sort of business yours is. Then the mutually beneficial relationships begin. If you have offered something of perceived value to others you are 100 times more likely to gain something in return.
