Held at sports stadia or prestigious leisure venues the idea is to relax and meet some great people. As soon as you arrive you will be introduced to people that we believe will be good contacts, so you won’t be left to your own devices, unless that is what you want of course. Food will be provided and there will be a cash bar available. We aim for these events to last about 2 to 3 hours but we are in no hurry to send people home and our staff will be around to make some further business introductions for you until the last person leaves! The Sporting Breakfasts
We are not the sort of network which puts undue demands on our members so the Sporting Breakfasts will be fun, relaxed and informative. There wont be any 40 second pitches, nor will you be expected to bring handfuls of leads for other members, but our staff will make sure that you are looked after and that your table is hosted so that you make useful contacts. The Sporting Breakfasts will have a sport and business theme and at each one we will provide an outstanding speaker from the world so sport to entertain, stimulate, challenge and motivate you. From established professional sports people to aspiring coaches our speakers will leave you feeling invigorated and inspired. We will also offer, through our own staff and partners, useful marketing and business development strategies, delivered whilst you enjoy breakfast and ready to use by lunch. The SiFi trips
No, this is nothing to do with space and aliens, SiFi means “See it, Fix it” and these are visits to community sport projects put on by our professional sports partners. A binding goal of the SBN is to help make our society a safer and more prosperous place and we support those who are on the front line in doing this. These visits will show our members the challenges that the UK’s disadvantaged communities face and some of the fantastic solutions delivered by sport. And your money! 10% of the fee you pay to join will be given as a sponsorship directly to our chosen sports partners and this will entitle you to the use of logos and other promotional material. What’s more your account manager will show you how to use this indirect investment in community sport as a PR platform that your competitors can only dream of. Evidence also shows that those who attend a SiFi trip form deep bonds and strong business contacts. One off sport events
We have a massive sporting network and we will be able to secure hospitality and participation with prices that are below the market rate. If members want us to organise additional sports events so that they can network we will be happy to do this. There are a couple of conditions though! One is that we must be involved and the second is that we want access to your clients and contacts. After all it is everyone’s interest that the network grows. E-newsletters
Our members and partners will receive e-newsletters which will be packed full of useful information that will help your business to grow. It will also be a platform for members to showcase their specific business and market expertise to other members. The process is simple: write an interesting article or “white paper” which you believe has real value to your fellow members, send it to your account manager and we will publish it in a newsletter.
E-alerts
Got something that you simply must let other members know about? A promotional offer for members for example? Then send it to your account manager and it will be distributed (once checked and approved by the SBN) to the members for them to consider. Whilst all members will have access to each others’ email details it is better that these sort of offers and insights are channelled through the SBN so that we can limit the number and outlaw rampant sales messages. If there is no benefit to other members we won’t send them.
